Visit to London Icebar
Experience proper ice-cold winter in the iconic London Icebar – UK’s only permanent frozen cocktail bar! Get cool shivers all-year round right in London city centre.
What’s the experience like, you ask? First, you are given a big hooded thermal cape with warm thick gloves. You then enter into the world of ice – a room made out of 40 tonnes of arctic Swedish ice with beautifully carved ice figures and various “sections”. There is a bar, standing tables, few sitting areas and several scrapings of famous London landmarks – all, of course, made of ice. You then get to spend up to 40 mins in here literally chilling in -5°C. 🙂
What to do in that time? Make sure to try Icebar famous cocktails! The cocktails here are served in glasses made of ice which make great Instagram pictures, at least before your fingers get too cold for your phone to feel them 🙂 The bar has beautiful neon lights that brighten the room and highlight the impressive ice figures for you to enjoy.
Ice Bar has 3 areas to visit. There is the ice bar itself which you need to get a ticket for, a normal bar and a normal restaurant where you can chill before or after your experience, whether just with a glass of wine and snacks or a full meal. I had a yummy burger and ice-cream meal after my visit and only wish there was some mulled wine to top all that up and warm me up quicker!

Tip: wear warm shoes on high base to stop your feet from getting too cold. The Icebar transforms every year where the design of the venue is changed and new ice sculptures pop up. Hence, coming here more than once would always guarantee an exciting experience!
