Diana’s dresses in Kensington Palace

Diana’s dresses in Kensington Palace

The late Princess of Wales touched many hearts and made a big impact during her short time on this Earth. To mark the 20th Anniversary of her tragic death, Diana’s dresses and outfits have been shipped from all over the world to her former home – Kensington Palace.

The selection of stunning outfits includes very famous pieces such as the Elvis Dress, the iconic velvet gown Diana worn at the White House when she danced with John Travolta and a shimmering white dress she wore during her trip to Brazil in which she removed her glove to shake hands with an AIDS patient.

The exhibition shows the evolution of Diana’s style, from romantic and somewhat shy outfits of her earlier years to confident, brave and spectacular gowns she wore at her latest years.

The ‘Diana: Her Fashion Story’ lifts the curtain into the “The People’s Princess” life and shows her continuous change throughout the many challenges: as a teenager, a new princess, a mother, a wife who went through a scandalous divorce, a fashion figure, a spokesperson and ambassador for numerous charities.

Seeing how many weeks of the exhibition has been fully sold out just proves that Diana’s legacy still lives to this day, with many people coming to see this wonderful exhibition from all over the world.

Don’t miss out this exclusive exhibition and make sure to book online in advance.

Good to know

Entrance to ‘Diana: Her Fashion Story’ exhibition is included in the admission price for Kensington Palace, meaning you are killing two birds with one stone! Use this as a chance to visit this fabulous royal residence overlooking Kensington Gardens. Who knows, you might even get a glimpse of Prince William and Duchess of Cambridge’ family or Prince Harry and Meghan Markle who all currently live in the palace!

The palace has served as an official royal residence since the 17th century. It has been the home to many monarchs, some of whom were even born there. Enjoy the marvelous collections of art in the stunning King’s State Rooms that have hardly changed since 1720s.

Whether you’re a fan of British Royal Family or not, the visit is fascinating and I highly recommend it, whether you are a tourist of a local.

To finish the visit, have a stroll around the palace’s garden which has flower and plant displays dedicated to the Princess.
